Let’s Go Read is a book subscription service for children which aims to deliver the best books on the planet to a child’s front door.
On top of picking two books of different genres each month, we work closely with a host of publishers, authors, industry experts and teachers to deliver a package that brings the family together through the power of books.
As well as two books per month or bi-monthly, the service offers a personalised message from the adult providing the subscription, free resources, activities and exclusive video content which will give parents the confidence to read with their children.

We have both individual and sibling packages available. This means that you have a choice of which subscriptions you receive books for each month. An individual will receive two books for their chosen package, whilst a sibling package includes one book per sibling (two books total), along with two activity packs (one for each book).

Individual

For our individual packages, the child receiving the box will receive two books for them to keep per month or bi-monthly, along with two golden tickets for exclusive video content, two activity books (one for each book sent) and activities.

Sibling

This subscription allows a household to share the box between two siblings. Each child will receive one book each for their age subscription (that we choose for them), along with one golden ticket each and two activity books (one for each book sent).

It’s a great way to share the cost and to enable every child to receive a book.

Our reading team consider a number of titles of different genres every month. We only pick what we believe are the best books for that age range which are gender neutral and representative of all ethnicities.

For three or more children, It's best to get the most out of our boxes that you order two separate boxes or subscriptions.

Every month we include our own expert-made resources put together in an easy to use 16-page booklet (You'll receive one of these for each book we send, so two each month!), these activities might include colouring-in, mazes, creative challenges and exercises, sticker based activities (Yes we include stickers in every box!), cooking recipes and other activities designed for your child to get the most out of the box and their love of reading.

Ocassionly, we'll also include resources provided by publishers where we feel they will benefit and add value.

Each box will always come with two 16 page activity books and stickers based on the book to help a child engage.

Our exclusive video content from our reading teams also give ideas to families for excellent activities based on the book. This can change from month to month, depending on the wonderful book we are sharing.

You get to decide whether you would like a child to receive a box every month (monthly) or every two months (bi-monthly), so if you took a subscription out in January the two options for delivery would work like this:

Monthly 

These deliveries work consecutively, so the child would receive a box containing two books (two activity packs and stickers) every month for as long as the subscription is paid for. The child will receive a box in January, February, March and so forth.

Bi-monthly

This means that the delivery would be a box every two months. This means a child receiving a box in January would then receive their next box in March, then May, July and then continue for as long as needed. An example of this would be if you decide to take our six month upfront payment but choose the bi-monthly delivery option, a child will receive our book club boxes over the course of 12 months. An example of this would be one in January, March, May, July, September, November. You would then have an option to continue the subscription after November, for example.

Important note: remember you can change the type of book club that child is part of at any time by contacting us at [email protected] As long as we receive the information in time for ordering (usually by the 15th of each month), we can easily change that type of book club for that child. You can also change your rate of subscription delivery at any time. If your child is loving the boxes and you want them to be more frequent, then just let us know and we can change the delivery to the monthly option.

We have organised our upfront options into three different payment methods. You can choose to pay either one month at a time (as a recurring subscription at £19.99), a three-box gift or a six box gift. The three and six box option is an ideal way of gifting a box without being tied into a subscription. These options also come with an exclusive new customer discount.

Monthly recurring subscription

£19.99 per month paid in advance by card payment each month. You need to let us know before your monthly payment is taken if you'd like to cancel. There will be a choice whether to receive the boxes monthly (every 4 weeks) or bi-monthly (every 8 weeks).

3 Box Gift (5% discount)

One-off payment at £55.00 by card – no recurring payments.

An option will be given at checkout to state whether you want the box to arrive monthly or bi-monthly.

6 Box Gift (5% discount)

One-off payment at £110.00 by card – no recurring payments.

An option will be given at checkout to state whether you want the box to arrive monthly or bi-monthly.

At the end of your gift subscription we'll get in contact and ask if you'd like to renew on either the rolling monthly subscription or look to buy another set of boxes upfront.

In short, this is how our checkout service works:

  1. Decide if you want a rolling monthly subscription, 3 box upfront, or 6 box upfront package (You can decide how often they are delivered later).
  2. Enter your child's name and DOB.
  3. Choose if you'd like a sibling pack (By telling us about their sibling!)
  4. We'll then tell you the best age-range club we think your child (and their sibling) would fit into.
  5. You can then confirm or change this club.
  6. You'll then be asked if you'd like your box delivered monthly (every 4 weeks) or bi-monthly (every 8-weeks).
  7. We'll then ask for your delivery and payment details. For a subscription you'll be automatically billed each month until cancelled – There is no contract so just let us know when you'd like to stop (or we can put you on a box holiday until you're ready to resume).

We constantly change the books and authors every month. There are so many fantastic books out there; we want your child to discover as many as possible. This is why some of our customers will stay on the same subscription for a number of years. There will be no book the same!

The only exception will be that we might put new releases by the same authors we previously included in a box. We are fans, just like our subscribers!

We can arrange for special delivery outside of this zone, on a case-by-case basis but would need to quote for delivery.

For our delivery, we use Royal Mail because the local postie knows your area. So, if the parcel won't fit through the letterbox, we ask them to leave it in a safe place.

Gifting Subscriptions

What a fantastic idea! We believe our subscriptions are the perfect gift for children. Please follow the steps in the sign-up box to gift one of our packages to your chosen child.

Absolutely. Our option of three and six gift boxes allows you to choose which gift is right for them.

You'll still need to fill in their name, birthday and delivery address. If you'd like to buy a gift voucher instead. Please get in contact via our email or live chat and we can support you with this.

Making Changes to your existing subscription

Get in contact, and change your child's box for the next age up for your next delivery.

We always recommend if you're unsure and your child is on the bracket of plans then go with the lower but every child develops at a different speed.

If you're unsure what to pick, then get in contact with us and we can send examples of the different age-ranged activity books (Ranging from 2 to 11+).
